Meetup API Terms of Service 5.3

Hi, I actually had a question in regards to the Terms of Service and the API.
Specifically about section 5.3 and advertising.

From what I can read from the TOS, it seems like no form of monetary purpose, for use of the API is allowed.

For example,if the group itself follows the rules
-Valid social/community builder, just events around the city
-We don't sell or advertise any service/product

With the above conditions, and to leverage the API, to build different features/tools to allow members and organizers to conduct their events better, we are NOT allowed to, by the TOS:

-place unrelated advertisements (Google Adsense) on websites using the API
-ask for a donation for tools, created for free, for the community
to create different features for members/organizers to host their events better.  


Please let me know if this is true, because i've seen other apps/websites using the Meetup API, but also include advertisements on the side, within reason, and clear indication it's not part of meetup., I've also seen applications that charge the user (iOS Apps) for their own product which calls the Meetup API

These examples makes it unclear whether they are violating the TOS or not, and how to proceed with our own community and how to leverage the API.
