Hi,

Could anyone tell, which type of simulcast does last Janus use for Chrome ?
Rid-based or ssrc-based ?

Thanks

Unified plan was selected by IETF so that is the way Janus also went, so I guess rid based.
Probably has some backwards compatibility for good old Chrome :D

That's a malformed question: Janus as a server supports both, what you use on the *client* side is up to you.

I've seen the article, that's why I'm asking here. This example is a p2p mode, and a conference demo doesn't take simulcast2=true flag.
I also could make Chrome work in p2p rid-simulcast, but failed with multi-parties. You sure Janus is OK in it ?

What example is a p2p mode? Definitely not anything I've written in the blog post. The VideoRoom demo *does* support that query string argument (as does the EchoTest for instance), so you may want to try again.

Thanks a lot, Lorenzo.

I meant echotest demo as p2p. Now I really could force VideoRoom demo to use simulcast2. Janus seems to be exploring an architecture which sets a separate RTCPeerConnection for each participant, and THIS participant always uses Offer for setLocalDescription(), where rid-simulcast is proven to be workable.
