I made the docker image https://github.com/atyenoria/janus-gateway-docker
This is targeted for the user who want to experiment the transcoding of Webrtc.
For example, WEBRTC -> HLS, DASH, or RTMP -> WEBRTC..etc
Please check this, if you want to make use of the MCU functionality which janus potentially has.

This is really amazing, thanks for sharing! Is it ok if I add it to the list of resources in the documentation?

ありがとうございました!

With Webrtc supported on IOS, I think transcoding to HLS/DASH will be no longer usefull as doing that you loose the most important feature Webrtc gives you: low latency.

It's still going to be useful. Many scenarios will not need low latency for some/many of their users, and something that allows to leverage a CDN even if the source is webRTC would be great.

You’re right, people may have some crazy uses cases sometimes :)

I just would like to underline HLS and DASH use no real time audio codec and to my pov the "low latency" is the main argument of WebRTC far away others (running inside a browser etc…).

Again, they don't look like crazy use cases to me. They're simply use cases where, for some viewers, delay doesn't matter, which always depends on the application. Everybody has different requirements, and not everything NEEDS to be real-time. If it needs to be, sure, WebRTC is the way. Otherwise, the more you can leverage of existing infrastructures, the better.

I think Akinori-san did an excellent job on this, and I thank him again for this effort.

I added the example architecture by using this docker image.
Please look at this, if you are interested in Media Streaming.
