Temporal 0,1,2 chrome vs firefox

Hi,

i have somehow in mind having discusses that topic but i can´t find it.

The janus videoroom specifies the simulcast temporal layer 0,1,2 which currently afaik only firefox and safari support but not chrome based browser. (I actually also don´t know if that is the same for all chromium based browsers (edge, opera...))

I am now wondering because i am missing temporal notifications from janus.

I have two times firefox in a videoroom, one publisher and another one as subscriber

I start a subscription for substream 2 (high) and temporal 2 (all publisher frames) but janus only sends me updates on the substream layers, not on the active temporal layer.

The janus transport for the subscribe operation and the following events. No notificaton on the temporal layer beeing used.

How should one deal with temporal layers today if it needs to work with chrome (supporting only 2 layers) and the others (supporting three layers)
