Snapshot of video streams?

Is there any interest to support single frame snapshots of a video stream?

Similar to the video recordings with MJR files, I'm wondering whether there is any plan to implement dumping frames into snapshots.

We might actually have a use-case for this and we're wondering whether we could solve this on janus-level and pick up the files just like we do the video recordings.

I could implement this myself if the interest for the feature is there.

Janus doesn't decode streams, so you can't do that with stock plugins. What's very easy to do, though, is RTP forward the stream to, e.g., a GStreamer pipelime that receives RTP traffic, decodes video, and saves something every tot seconds.
