If you wish to import an entire WordPress site, including plugins, themes, and users, the All-in-One WP Migration plugin can help you achieve that. Follow the steps in this guide to import an exact copy of your website to WordPress.com.
This option is suitable for self-hosted WordPress sites if you have already tried the recommended Import Everything and Move to WordPress.com plugin options and did not get the desired result. You can also use this plugin method to import a local/staging site or to transfer an existing WordPress.com staging site to a live WordPress.com site.
If you are using All-in-One to migrate content from a WordPress.com hosted site to another WordPress.com hosted site, such as a staging site to production, you cannot disconnect Jetpack. Instead, after the migration is complete, please contact support for our help to review the Jetpack connection post-migration.
While your site is most likely using a Latin1 database character set, if your site is using any other type of database encoding like charset UTF-8, you will need to convert your database character set to Latin1.
@clay Actually I did have also the similar problem. A large multi-site import does not work. My database dump is around 700MB. I tried everything. The only way around was to create an empty multi site in Local, and then manually importing the database with Sequel Pro.
Im having an issue mirating my local site to another host. I keep getting the "Unable to open file for writing. File: /app/public/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage/ " Im so new to this, so clarity is extremely needed. Thx

OK, so when you have a fresh copy of WordPress installed on your destination location, you then need to install the All-In-One WP migration plugin again. Once you have done that, head over to Import. The dialog you see is as equally simple as the Export one. The only thing to note here is that you might have a low Maximum Upload File Size, as shown in the image below, depending on your hosting. There are good instructions on the Servmask website for how to fix this.
Once you have chose your file, the plugin gets to work preparing the upload. You will see a flurry of activity about Preparing the upload and checking extensions compatibility etc, and then you will be presented with a screen that lets you know that by continuing on from this point, files and databases will be overwritten. Click Proceed to import your site, or Close to abort at this point. If you proceed, the import begins. This might take a while, depending on how big your site is, and the speed of your host.

I have an interesting scenario where we are looking to generate exports from various knowledge bases that a client of ours is leveraging. Essentially, they have multiple WordPress websites that we want to extract the data from and import into or main website.
The plugin when installed on our website is choosing the maximum post size as opposed to the maximum file upload size, and is restricting our upload size to 128M as a result, the maximum post size allowed my our site. How can we change the plugin code to see the correct size restrictor?
Could you download File Extension (Basic) from this page: -migration.com, install and let us know if your issue still persists?

Hello. I have a live website (www.example.com) . I created a subdomain (test.example.com) . Can i import the test.example.com to example.com and shows the site that i`ve created? What steps do i need to do? Thanks for advance
I am asking because I have done it, but the site shows the old template to the public. When I am loged in as admin, the dashboard seems OK with the new menu, templates etc. And when I click preview, shows OK but when i log out shows the old one.
Thanks for advance.
Do I need to do any other changes when finish importing? Any change on permalinks, etc? I am asking you because when I try it for first time, o could see on my dashboard the new migrated menu, template, etc but when someone click my site, see the old template!! Only when I am logging in can see the new one.
