Myworkaround so far has been to copy the data from SDE to a personal GDB first (via ArcMap), then copy from the personal GDB to the FGDB. The personal GDB seems to fix the data. Not sure why/how, though.

Unfortunately, the Check Geometry and Repair Geometry geoprocessing tools don't support SDE.ST_GEOMETRY. Idea: Repair Geometry GP tool: Support SDE.St_Geometry. And there aren't any ST_GEOMETRY SQL functions that can check or repair geometries either (unlike SDO_GEOMETRY).

Part of the issue could be using ancient software -- Pro 2.6 was released three years ago, and 10.7.1 six months before that. The fact that a *point* feature class has topology errors is quite bizarre.

SDO_GEOMETRY has to have repair utilities because there is no way to get to the data in otherwise. ST_GEOMETRY is not supposed to accept invalid geometry, so there isn't any way to repair it once in place. The fact that it's corrupt is a bug in the Paste procedure (possibly introduced at Copy).

Any thoughts on how to share a ST_GEOMETRY Oracle table with support? If I understand correctly, the SHAPE column is stored as a BLOB (or something similar). So I don't think I could generate SQL insert statements, etc.

In an SQL query, I wrote a custom function that uses ST_INTERSECTS() to check if each feature can be used in a spatial SQL operation. If there is an error, then the function returns "error" to the query's resultset. That let me flag the problem row.

I'm using a little used 5dMarkii with a 24-105mm L series IS lens. I have not used the camera in months and today after a few shots I got the 01 Error message saying to clean the contacts. They werent dirty to begin with and cleaning didnt help. Error seems to happen only when the focal length is set over about 70mm. Clearly from what I've read this is an issue of poor engineering or workmanship, given the number of internet questions about it. Canon Customer Service would not tell me what it will cost to fix, even though they've surely done the same repair thousands of times. I need to spend money and time shipping my rig to VA to find out something they should know immediately. So, can anyone here tell me what it will cost to ostensibly replace the aperture mechanism or whatever needs to be replaced? The Canon rep gave me a range of repair cost pricing but couldn't say where along the range my repair will fall. $189 for a minor repair and I think she said $349 for a major repair. Please only respond if your lens is, or is similar to, the 24-105mm L series. Thank you.

Should the shutter be held down while the battery is inserted? I'm not sure what holding the shutter down will do if there's no power. Your steps seem to say to press the shutter for 30 seconds, release it, then insert the battery. Thanks.

I assume you have the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens? I had two of them over the years and they made me a lot of money. Neither one ever failed. Heavy use. Little help, I now. Try the procedure in the previous post. I doubt it helps either but what have you got to lose?

I seriously doubt Canon will service a 5D Mk II so there is no point in sending it along with the lens. Also keep in mind another lens to replace yours is in about the $400+ range. Maybe a good time to think upgrade to the new model. It is a good upgrade.

The problem you have sounds like a broken ribbon cable within the lens, a common fault with many lenses as they get older because although it is a flexible cable it gets flexed every time the zoom is moved, eventually it wears out.

To check if this the problem, fit the lens to the camera, turn the camera on, set to manual mode, any shutter speed but an aperture of f22. Look directly into the front of the lens, not the viewfinder, hold down the cameras DOF button.

Now zoom the lens in and out, the aperture blades should be visible with just a small opening, as you zoom there will be a slight change in the size of the opening but if the cable has a break then the aperture opening will make rapid changes usually going from very small to very large.

As for the cost of repair, I couldn't really tell you, because I have carried out this repair myself on my own 24-105 L. It is a common fault and any decent camera repair shop can do it. Because of the amount of dismantling involved I would guess than Canon would rate this as a major repair.

There are certain routines that have to be followed when dismantling & reassembling this lens, if not carried correctly then it can result in serious misalignment of the internal elements. There are multiple posts on youtube showing how the repair can be done, every one that I have seen is wrong simply because people have done it without the correct service information.

Also, I am under the impression that one should run zwave repair a few times, until there are no errors reported. Otherwise, a device potentially does not have an optimal way to talk with other devices or may have intermittant communication problems.

There was a point when I was first installing devices that I thought the Range Extenders were being useful. Then I read their manual and saw they should flash the LED each time they relayed a message. Never, ever saw that.

The need is easy to understand: if I have no certainty of completeness, integrity and the possibility of being able to restore the backup when necessary, it is useless for me to do so, creating - moreover - a false expectation of security.

I am afraid that the error is due to the server not responding about the list of files sent by Duplicates to compare with its local list. If the list is not returned from the server or is only partially returned, Duplicati thinks the files are missing in the destination.

Some storage types are picky about slashes. You could start down a direct restore from backup files, far enough to see what it takes to at least pull up the backup date, and maybe even the view of available files. Some destination types expect forward slashes (not backslashes), and sometimes one is needed at end.

this helped me too.

Version: 2.0.5.1_beta_2020-01-18

Windows 10, 64bit, 1909

Backup from local PC to webdav

got error of missing files on remote after 1. backup run ; backup was not finished

changed pfad delimeter from \ to / and re-run backup -->took seconds --> no error any more

I found it confusing that the connection test worked successfully, but the actuall backup run creates error - should there be a hint on connection test?

thank you for the detailed answer. I am an end-user and unfortunately I am not familiar with programming.

I am not perfect in English and I had a little trouble finding a solution.

I registered here - also for the translation tool - to give my contribution. But I think that it is not made very easy for beginners.

I would like to write a German tutorial that explains the installation with my two German server providers. How do I proceed in a useful way here? Is there a german wiki or forum anywhere?

There are none maintained by the Duplicati project, but one never knows what independent sites exist.

Possibly the search engine you usually use could find something if it can search for German language.

There are also quite a few people posting Duplicati German messages. Perhaps one of them will help.

Sorry, but I consider this a BUG! It took me three full days of testing and googling to find out that the backup itself works with backslashes in the path (you can see the files show up in the webdav-drive) but the list-command only work with slashes.

sorry, I stumbled around the web to find a solution and here in this thread I found the hint with the slashes first. After that I was able to google more, but because nothing in the gui gave me a clue that the syntax of the path might be a problem, it was a poking in the mist before this thread.

So I wanted to give others in the context of this thread more info. and Keywords to find this thread.

This experience taught me the importance of starting with a clean slate in your backup destination, especially when setting up a new Duplicati configuration or moving from a test to a production environment.

Recently, there have been a lot of issues with the bots not being able to open Excel workbooks using the Excel scope activities. Usually, if you restart the bot, it runs fine but it is affecting multiple production bots sporadically.

Thanks for the response, @Raluca_Laic

On Client A - this started happening around september last year. This was the only client that started having issues after having bots in production for a while. We repaired, uninstalled/reinstalled 32/64-bit but nothing changed. Still had this error popup occasionally:

Are there any best practices? All i can think of is adding retry scope around Excel scope and try to keep the workbooks open wherever possible, but some redundancy on the activity itself would be ideal.

UiPath.Excel.Activities.ExcelProcessScopeX Opens or reuses Excel processes, loads the Excel project settings and applies them to the associated Excel file. This activity makes managing Excel processes easier by allowing you to configure the launch...

I am attempting to install Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop on my Windows 10 PC. As I begin to install the app, the loading bar for the app starts off slowly, filling in about 1% every 5 seconds, before suddenly filling up all the way and attempting to launch the app.

I am wondering if there are any other strategies to potentially avoid this error, or at least figure out exactly what is causing it. If anyone has any advice, that would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
