Wow..... this is sofar the easiest tutorial ever, I am new with my embroidery machine, and honestly I did have hard time learning this software, YouTube have tons of videos but they are super long and sometimes time really confusing, but this material is super easy to use and understand, I live at Elizabeth New Jersey U.S. and honestly if you guys do something else for sure I will get it. This is one of my best investments in my business, if you don't know how to use the software is like be at war and have a battleship thinking that it is a fishing boat ?, without the knowledge is useless! Again thank you and GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!! for this amazing master job!.
This course is very easy to understand. Each section is to the point and keeps your interest. I have had Wilcom Designing for quite a while and needed to brush up on a few points, which this course did for me. Very helpful. Thank-you
I am a total beginner and this course is the best I have found on the internet. Very well structured and thought through before being taped, clear definitions and explanations, to the point, goes through every essential detail, perfect tempo of speech and very nice clear and calm voice. I am very visual and seeing movements of the cursor is of very big importance and tremendous help in understanding how the tools behave and work. I know I will be returning to this course again and again when the need arises. The best beginner course out there and the the best money ever spent !Irene
I was expecting this training to take weeks but because of the way that it is delivered I feel that after one day of viewing the videos I had a basic control of the decorating software. The sessions are just the right length to ensure you can digest the information before moving on to the next subject. Overall 10 out of 10 for a great resource!
I have previous learning background by using Hatch. I decided to upgrade to Wilcom as I love the software and how easy it is to use it (once you know how). I loved the short video clips to keep your interest but would have liked some more explaination in the Deno video on the seqence of designing. I have recently started embroidering caps and had to reseqence the design because it didn't stitch out correctly on my initial go. I understood on caps its from the bottom up on a design and from the middle out so the cap doesn't cause wrinkles and bumps on the stitch out. I'd really like to know more about garment desgins too. ThanksAnjee
I love these videos, basic and uncomplicated explanations. All you need to do is refer back and practice. It will improve your understanding of how to make your embroidered designs perfect. Even if you only use it to improve your imported designs from your digitiser, if you are not doing it yourself. FIVE STARS!!!
That's me on the left! I've been involved in the embroidery industry for the past 25 years, initially as a digitizer, then as a shop owner, and now a Wilcom Authorized Trainer. It's my job to teach users how to get the best from their embroidery software.
"This course was very informative. I came away with a lot more knowledge than I had before. Dean was a very patient tutor who explained everything clearly and was open to all questions concerning the software."
"Dean has a knack for explaining the concepts in a way that are easy to grasp. By the end of the day, I felt confident in editing, resizing and creating lettering and also in starting to digitize some simple designs."
"Dean is great! He's very patient and teaches you in a way that you can totally understand and not get bogged under with too much 'Tech' talk. I came away feeling so much more confident about using the software and with a lot more knowledge from this great digitizer. Very highly recommended for any digitizer/embroiderer. Thank you Dean!"
"Had heard Dean was good, so decided to try. We learnt how to digitize designs and afterwards knew that if we were stuck we could always count on his support. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about embroidery techniques and also make more profit in their business. A great course."
"Dean is great, his teaching is fun and clear and constructive. He's patient and gears his teaching to a pace which pushes us, but is not beyond our capabilities. Exactly what you need from a wonderful digtizer and instructor."
Each time that they did not turn out to my satisfaction, I felt like a complete failure. It seemed so simple and yet I just could not seem to get them to look the way I wanted them to look. I attended many workshops at trade shows and trained with some of the best embroidery software trainers and digitizers. It seemed like I could never get all of the right information to make my lettering look as good as theirs!
Were they holding back some of the little tips and tricks? What was my problem? I spent many hours on every single line of lettering that I tried to create and it was a huge waste of time! There had to be an easier way!

I just wanted to say that I learned a lot from the Small Lettering course. As a matter of fact, I had an order to do that required a logo with small lettering added. I had done this logo before, but I redid the lettering by decreasing my density and adding underlay stitching. I also changed the start and stop points and did not have to do any trimming between my letters and the thread did not even show! What a time saver!
Basic Blueprint For Setting Up Small Lettering - These include density, underlay stitching and pull compensation for Knit Fabrics, Woven Fabrics, and Terry Cloth! This is a checklist that you will use each time you set up any type of lettering!
Checklist To Determine Quality of Design-When you get a design back from the digitizer or if you have digitized the design yourself, there are some key factors that you need to look for when you are determining the quality of your small lettering and embroidery designs! This checklist will help you determine the quality of that design or lettering set up!
