INSTALLATION
-----------------------

There are 3 ways of installing Meego on Nokia N900

1. Meego native install on N900
2. Meego chroot install on N900
3. Meego kexec install on N900

For the installation process you need to get the flasher tool to flash
your device.
Download it from http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/maemo-dev-env-downloads.php

For further instructions on the installation process please follow the
below link

I came across this information in a website.
If there is any other method of installing MeeGo on N900 please post
it.

The links below are more than a couple of months old. Haven't found any updates since the PR1.3 release. The main questions I have is this:
  1. What does PR1.3 bring to the table in terms of dual booting Maemo and Meego?
  2. Is it possible, at all, to have Meego and Maemo side by side in a persistent manner (say, the Meego file system on a SD card), so that a developer ican boot into Maemo/ meego without having to connect the device to the PC or running the flasher tool everytime?
Any pointers?

Hello Sir,

Answering your first question. , I don't have much information about
the PR 1.3 release since it released recently. I just heard that it
helps in dual booting between Maemo & Meego easily. I will let you
know if i know anything more.

Coming to your 2nd question..., Yes it is possible to have Meego file
system on an SD card and boot from the memory card directly.

I think the link below might be helpful for instructions on
installation on a memory card.
http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/N900/Install/MMC

We will be having a demo of it in the next MeeGo meet (i.e. 3rd MeeGo
- Bangalore meet)
