Tips for the GO Battle League |
- Study up on your Pokémon types! Some Pokémon types are better or worse against other types, so it’s good to know which matchups are good or bad for your Pokémon.
- Switch your Pokémon if you’re at a disadvantage. If you send out a Pokémon that has a type disadvantage against your opponent’s Pokémon, consider tapping the icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the battle screen to switch in another Pokémon.
- Use your Protect Shields wisely, and trick your opponent into using theirs! Protect Shields are a limited-use way to prevent your Pokémon from taking damage from an opposing Pokémon’s Charged Attacks.
- Some Pokémon learn attacks that can cover their type weaknesses! Study up on different Pokémon’s movesets to see if there are any that you can use to your advantage.
- Save Charged Attacks by switching Pokémon. If your Pokémon has a Charged Attack ready when you switch it out, the next time you send it out that battle, you’ll be able to use the Charged Attack immediately!
