raise awareness amongst students about different local & global health
issues

Dr Asad Khan an SpR in Respiratory Medicine from Manchester, will be
speaking about his journey to Palestine where he encountered first
hand, the human rights abuses facing Palestinians daily as they
attempt to live their lives.
· Military checkpoints that humiliate ordinary civilians
· A wall that divides families and friends,
· Houses that are illegally demolished in the middle of the night over
the heads of inhabitants
· Hospitals where patients are snatched from their beds;
· Not forgetting the universities and Medical schools where students
fight a constant battle for their right to education.
Come and hear about the healthcare situation for Palestinians under
occupation.
See a glimpse of life under brutal military occupation from the eyes
of a Manchester Doctor in Palestine
Also speaking will be a 3rd year Medical Student from the University
of Manchester Medical School, who traveled to Palestine over the
summer to volunteer in a Bethlehem Refugee Camp through the IFMSA.
Come here them speak about their experiences and find out what you can
do to help.
