I am trying to interface a Siemens Advia 2120 hematology analyzer to Meditech magic 5.61. As with all of our other analyzer interfaces that have a serial port, I am using a lantronix uds1100 box. I can go into OPS and do a remote printer inquiry and it shows as Ready so I know my physical connection between Meditech and the lantronix is good. However, on the Advia it still shows a red dot for the LIS (it should be green). I am using a standard null modem cable (the one that came in the box with the lantronix) between the 9-pin serial port on the analyzers PC and the 25 pin port on the lantronix box.
I have confirmed that the baud rate, parity, stop bits, and data bits programmed into the lantronix box matches the same settings on the analyzers PC. I have tried all baud rates between 1200 and 9600 but still a red LIS dot on the PC.
Any ideas from anyone who has an Advia 2120 interfaced to Meditech on what to check next? I’m stumped. Thanks!
