DAT=FREE
JFY=L
LEN=10
VAL="NPI_number"
It is already encased in quotes - how do I get these quotes to print?
I also have the following computed field for my data that I need to put the answer in quotes:
DAT=FREE
JFY=L
LEN=50
VAL=@name#"0, "
It seems to me this should be easy but for some reason, I cannot figure it out.

Note: on most printers the quote marks won't appear quite like you
expect, but they'll work.

Along with a footnote of
FD <ascii value for your delimiter>
Then your data will be enclosed with quotes between the delmiters.
Common delimiters are:
For TAB, use FD 9
For Comma, use FD 44
For Pipe, use FD 124
For Semicolon, use FD 59
You can use the DAT field attribute on ALL fields in your picture to have
all fields have the text-qualification (quote marks). Yes, even standard
fields.
Conversely, if you don't want fields to have the text qualifications, then
use
DAT=INT
DAT=FREE
JFY=L
LEN=10
VAL=D(34)_"NPI number"_D(34)
Alternatively, you can use intrinsic macros to do the same things:
DAT=FREE
JFY=L
LEN=10
VAL=@Z.quote_"NPI number"_...@Z.quote
