Are you printing the claim file to a spool group through auto close?

Hello Ganesh,
       This may be a multi part solution for you.
First continue to schedule or automate the ENTER/EDIT Auto Daily Processes
NPR will allow you to program in a set file path to download that data automatically, this may involve a custom NPR report.
Please refer to knowledge base article 11486 https://www.meditech.com/kb/Custform.ASP?urn=11486

The 4.8 version of MAGIC calls new windows programs when a user enters DOWNLOAD at the "Print On:" prompt. The windows program opens a window to the default directory of the workstation software.  To default a user defined path, enter the following code in an IFE screen attribute of one of the select prompts (Using option 8 Edit Screen Elements):

IFE="PATH"^MIS.SPOOL.c.filename

An example of opening to the Reports folder on the C drive and writing to file testdDATE:

IFE="C:\REPORTS\testd"_@.today^MIS.SPOOL.c.filename

The above code will cause the DOWNLOAD option to open to the Reports folder on the C drive and create a folder with the name testd concatenated with today's date.  This will allow the user to run the report daily and not have to supply a different file name since the date will be different for each run.  Note: if a report is run more than once a day, you can concatenate the time as well using @.now.

Sincerely,

I recall that the Auto Daily Process will only Compile Tapes/CPU; it does not Create Tapes/Transmit CPU, which is still a manual step. This was a quite while ago, and I believe that there was a KB article on this topic; my old notes say KB10625. I'm not aware that this function has been modified recently; but if it has, it would be good to know.

I have other clients that use other tools from vendors like Iatrics to automate the Day Close functions; but I don't know if those tools do the Create/Transmit function either.

Hi, tools like Move-it or  BizTalk can be scheduled to find and then send the your scheduled downloaded file to your vendor. Your network team would be familiar.
