Good morning. We sent this out previously, and didn't get any response. Thought we would try one more time. Has anyone gone through an expansion of the following fields in Meditech? We would appreciate any advice, warnings, precautions, testing advice, materials you would be willing to share on the subject and your experiences.

We did this when we migrated from Magic to Client Server.... both the Revenue and Expense sub accounts were expanded from three to four, and we added the GL 'pdl' logic (Primary Department).

The changes from 3 to 4 (or 5 for Stats) for field lengths was pretty uneventful.

The change to PDL logic was not. We now mandate the use of Revenue Sites, do not allow corp edits (didn't before either), and have custom logic in the BAR parameters to accommodate. Our last change was just last month, from a CS live date of 4/1/2008..... so, almost two years later, we're finally getting a handle on PDL...
We're also 6 different hospitals in one BAR.
