Has anyone come up with a report to find out which users accessed an
account in MAGIC without running the MIS user logs and searching through
every user? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Here is one that audits all apps, it is all in a macro, I did not write this (I would be happy to just understand most of the macro code).
I only steal from the best….
It takes a while to run…

Bill, It appears you report is not looking at any of the clinical applications. Am I missing something? When I run it, it only shows ADM, SCH, ABS.
Thanks. Carol

Thanks Jay, Would you be willing to share your RADRW.UA report?
Since the data physically resides across multiple machines I don't see
an alternative to the work around you were suggested. As for scheduling,
since the report is an MIS report it will always be run on the MIS
master segment so to schedule it to run you would need to get fancy and
move it to another DPM in an applicatino on the desired machine.
What about PCI? Is there a standard report for this data or is it
reported in the MIS report of the segment it resides on?

That makes sense, I didn’t look at my list of apps per segment (I have it on my desk?).
I would not want to have to run 5 reports to audit one user or one patient to see who accessed that patient or what that user did that day.
The report I sent after the initial one, that I got from someone(?) with the 2 macros does loop thru PCI ($T) and RAD ($T) and RADRW(NPR).
See attached text file for some of the clinical data, ran from the report MIS.USER.zcus.bm.detail.log
This report is set up for downloading and FTP, I will edit it so it will be easier to view and run for one user/device or one patient.
Good Luck,

Jay,
WOW. Are you good or what? Thanks for the info. I guess if you really want to know what that particular user has been doing it would be good to run all reports but you are right that is a pain. If anyone comes up with a way to make it work with just one please send along as well.
Thanks for all of your hard work on this!

John:
That report that had the wrong footnotes names in it, does loop thru PCI
and RAD, all modules, so Gary Hall edited it to run for one patient, the
original was running by date.
I am looking at Gary's edited report of my adopted (someone sent it to
the L) report and it looks good. I am going to shorten the lines, and
some of the computed fields so the report will not be so long. It was
intended as a download/FTP report.
Good Luck,

I seem to be missing something in this thread of e-mails. Seems as though you all are making a lot of extra work for yourselves.
I have our MAGIC system setup to spool the standard Meditech User Log every morning, which pulls some detail from every module. I upload this daily file into an Access database. At the beginning of the next month I create an new Access database. (Yes, I know I can upload this file into a SQL database. I have just been too busy and lazy to do it.)
The data in this standard Meditech User log file is weak for the PCI module, so at the end of the month I spool the MIS User Activity Log By Time (just for the PCI module) and download it. Between these two sources I feel I have at a decent grasp on who is accessing the system.
To save the information for posterity I burn the monthly Access database, the MIS PCI User Log, as well as the Caretaker Log for the month, the Dialup Activity Log for the month, and the "Remote Access Log" off of the Meditech web page to a CD.
So, am I missing something?? Why is there such interest in creating a homegrown report?
Thanks.

Doug:
Thanks for the information, I was only sending this report out to the L,
because someone requested it. We use Iatric's SAM system, so I do not
need this report or use it. I just edited it and tried to make it work
for users/facilities that do not have SAM.
Many thanks for giving us your method for keeping the audits.
