Hello L,

I was wondering if anyone is using the ORM Big Board to display for users in the hallways of the surgical areas. We are putting ours on large TVs for staff only, but as I’m sure some of you know, the Meditech screen does not go full screen. I’m wondering what folks here did to work around that. Was it just changing the resolution and aspect ratio or is there another trick? Let me know if you have creative ideas.

Thanks

Hi Loran,

We have Big boards displaying on in the hallways of our surgical areas.  Changing the resolution will do the trick for the board to be displayed in full screen.  We have been running those for about 2 1/2 years now.

Thanks,

We use an Epson Brightlink Short Throw projector onto a white board (our staff wanted to be able to make notes around the display).

Hi Loran,

We haven't wrestled with the ORM Big Board, but we have the LAB Specimen Tracking Screen, with the same how to "fill the screen" issue.

Our best solution at getting a full screen is using the Windows magnifying tool to enlarge and position the screen where it needs to be. It works.

Draw backs are there is some loss of resolution, but not too bad, and for some reason once a week the screen freezes, and has to be closed and reopened. I suspect this is a local problem.

I am forwarding this to our IT guru who figured this out for us to see if he has anything to add.
