Hi, all.

Has anyone used digi-port term servers to connect their lab analyzers to Meditech? We have always used Xyplex term servers but recently switched and I am having a difficult time configuring the ports- I have used Meditech’s documentation but I am not convinced that the “sample” configuration that they provide works for all devices. Assistance is greatly appreciated…

Shannon,

I have used Digi Term Servers in the past to connect all sorts of Lab equipment.   Have you hit the DiGi.com website for product documentation?  Between the documentation from Meditech and Digi, I was able to resolve connectivity issues.

Hope this helps.

Awesome, if you have a watch running, all downhill from there.

Thank you! I think we have a device watch now that we used the cross-over cable. I was mostly worried that some of the xyplex settings didn’t directly translate to digi settings and this was the cause of communication error.

I appreciate your help!

I know this can be confusing…. Here is another site that also graphically outlines crossover cabling.   Using the specs from Meditech you can correlate the pins to a similar diagram to match your instruments.

Let me know if I can be of a bit more confusing in my assistance.  J

Yes, we are using this documentation. Did you have to create cross-over cables for the devices? We just got off the phone with Digi and they told us we need these.

Thank you,
