We have three computers (that I am aware of) that are having the same
issue. Users are attempting to print lab results from the EMR. You click
on the date and time above the specific test, click on the Specimen
collected box, and you see the message that the report is compiling, and
it's stuck.

Has anyone else witnessed this before?

Yes matter of fact we have had that problem too. Would not open the
viewer to look at the lab to print. It happened on wireless computers
and it was an issue with IP addresses, more than one associated with
that machine. One of our network people figured this out. I looked at
the ticket, but he did not write anything more specific. Hope this
helps.

Thanks, please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you!

I think we had to start a task with MEDITECH and I think they fixed it
but it was a while ago so I cant recall the details. Sorry.

We are about to re-name a nursing unit and the corresponding Meditech
mnemonic on July 1st to coincide with the new fiscal year.

Besides making sure that the new mnemonic code is mapped across other
interfaced clinical systems, is there anything else that we need to be
aware of?

Anyone willing to share lessons learned?

Meditech has KB article 12988 with information on renaming an inpatient
unit. It also discusses the ramifications for the other modules.

Review any Rules in the various modules, custom NPRs, Notifications out
of NUR/PCS, or any Messages that may reference the unit.

What about clients and printers associated with the unit? If the
clients mnemonics are similarly named you might want to change those to
keep standardized. For example we have one of our nursing unit's
mnemonic as DI07T and the client's mnemonics on that floor are DI07T01,
DI07T02, etc. The printers are DI07T101, etc.

There may be more, but that's all that comes to mind at this time.

Thanks,

Make sure that pharmacy makes the appropriate changes in the location
dictionary (they'll need to create a new location), cart dictionary, cart
run dictionary, dispensing machine dictionary, and inventory dictionary.
