[MT-L] Addressing Gender Identity at Registration in ADM

Good Afternoon L,

 

I contacted Meditech late last year to see if the Development Team was working on any future enhancements to incorporate changes to the ADM registration screens to address gender identity as it relates to the LGBT community. At that time there were no plans to accommodate capturing the necessary information to best care for the patient.     They suggested we develop custom queries to add to the screens.  Has anyone begun this process and written training, policies/procedures that you can share?  We are looking to implement a best practice and would appreciate learning what other facilities may be putting in place to best serve the LGBT community.
