Does anyone have current instructions on how to make a Pop Up CDS work?
We were told that Meditech does not support this function, we are
wondering if anyone out there has this working and is willing to share.
We do have instructions from an attribute website, but the attribute
includes MIS.SCREEN.kernal which I know Meditech no longer supports.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks, Laura

Keep up to date on recent announcements about MUSE by visiting the meditech-l web site at MTUsers.net and go to the tab labeled "MUSE - Dallas 05/08"

If you want to ask a question from the meditech-l users who will be attending MUSE or share something about MUSE with each other, you can post messages on the web site on the tab "MUSE - Dallas 05/08"

I need to clarify my message about the need to pop-up a CDS. We will
have Y/N answers for WNL on the first CDS. If the user says no for
example to Respiratory assessment WNL then we want a second CDS to pop
up in which the user can document the details about the respiratory
system, once they file this second CDS the user will be taken back to
the first CDS and the next query. If they say Yes to WNL then the
cursor will move to the next question on the first CDS regarding another
system being WNL. Thanks for any help you can provide.

We are using pop-ups with our shift assessment.

Here is an example of how our pain assessment is set-up on our shift
assessment.

First y/n query "NURSAPAIN" - Is the patient pain free?
Create a second yes/no query to use for the pop-up and give it a name.
We just put a . in for the name.
Attach this attribute to the pop-up query in the CDS and place this
query beside the first query.

IFE=IF{[ANS,"NURSAPAIN"]|0="N" 0^A,
IFE=IF{%Z.zcus.cds("NURPAIN01",ANS,1)X,1}}
FCL1=IF{@.response.old'=@.response %NUR.PAT.zcus.macro.lib.M.clean.cds
FCL1=(/HOLD,"NURPAIN01")}

If the answer to the original question is no, then the CDS "NURPAIN01"
is presented to the nurse to document the pain assessment. If the
answer is yes the CDS does not pop-up to be documented on. You have to
attach the queries that are contained in the pop=up CDS to the original
CDS in order to be able to view the documentation.

Finally, you must include a final pop-up query on the last page of your
original CDS. This attribute needs to be included.
IFE=IF{/Z'=141'=13 "";@Z.file^/Z,""}

Good luck,

Hi Eric,
Hi Eric,
I'm not an NPR person so please bear with me. I see that there is a
macro(?) on your FCL statement. Did you create it? If so, do you mind
sharing? I've been wanting to do pop-ups but it seems to be complicated
and I'm afraid if something wrong happens, MEDITECH wouldn't be able to
help as they don't support pop-ups. Thanks!
