[MEDITECH-L] ORM Scheduling Module - Magic 5.6

I am interested to know how other people are scheduling their OR procedures. Are you using the average times that populates the field? Are you using your own "homegrown" times?

We are trying to use the populated times and we are having trouble with the times pulling in correctly.

Monica,

We are using the times populated by Meditech. Are your times not averaging correctly? If the scheduler has a question, she uses the "SHIFT RIGHT ARROW" at the proposed procedure field to enter into the view default procedure times routine to see the average length. We list 7 cases - drop the high and low and use the average of the remaining 5 cases to obtain the average minutes required to schedule the procedure.

When I have periodically reviewed this information compared with the average time provided by the system in the duration column, they have been correct. We are not seeing any issues with average times.

We use the default set in the dictionary for those procedures that the
doctors might not do many of. For those procedures that doctors perform
more often, we use the average setting that you can define in the
parameters. We increased ours to 24 cases and history of 28. We are a
specialty hospital and so our docs do a lot of the same procedures.

We are using a UDF for our $T RAD requisition forms.

I can call an electronic form from any other zcus NPR report (including
RADRW reports), but have hit a wall with the RAD requisition.

Meditech can't seem to figure it out.

Is anyone out there using an electronic form with a RAD UDF?
We are Magic 5.61.
