As we all know, keeping Meditech TEST and LIVE dictionaries in sync can often become a full time job. We have written scripts to accomplish this, but are looking for a more efficient way. We are interested in automating these processes and are interested in how other facilities are managing this. Is anyone using a good dictionary sync tool that they would recommend?

I saw IPeople at MUSE last year and they had a product which may work for you. I have never used it.

Have you looked at Summit InSync?

I haven't had any hands on access to it yet, but from other consultants
recommendations to me, I would definitely put them on your list of products
to evaluate.

My prior hospital used the Ipeople Sync tool.
It works well although it's not an automated tool by any means.
You 'start' each dictionary sync manually, and must remember the order
of which they need to run, due to dependent dictionaries, etc.
You can sync between Magic Live <--> 6.0 Test <--> 6.0 Live
I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars as the error reporting could be a bit
better. Overall a good product to get the job done.
