Need help. We are live with ORM today. We are trying to give meds in the documentation. We are getting the following message "ORDER TYPE error in PHA. Check Med AFRISPR.

The drug is set up exactly the same in live and test. We can give none of the meds in LIVE but works fine in test.

Has anyone encountered this problem. We have the Meditech specialist here. He has been calling his home office and not getting any answers.

Just an idea - Check your Pharmacy Drug Dictionary to make sure the Ord: by OR? Is set to Yes for that drug?

Thank you everyone that responded.  Found out where it was.  In the PHA customer defined screens it was setup in the .dft site but not the MAIN SITE on page 6 OR Defaults.

As long as you know that no changes were made after copy from Test to Live, check out your CDS in PHA, make sure you have MAIN site setup - OR default.

Hope you find resolution quick!

There might also be an issue where the order type for that drug is not 'accessible' in the PHA Access dictionary, or the default access group for your OR staff? Hope this helps,

Julie

In Pharmacy drug dictionary, go to the mnemonic. On the Order string/OM tab, make sure you have MED defined as the default order type. Then, make sure ORM is documenting this in the MED rountine (not intake). All intakes must have default order type of IV, and all meds must have default order type of MED. Hope this helps. We have had this problem during testing. thanks

We had the same problem after upgrading to 5.64 which was alleviated (somewhat) by defining a default OR order type in the Meditech defined "MAIN" pharmacy site customer defined paramters (as opposed to your actual pharmacy sites if multi-site). We occasionally get the message but we can still file the entry. Something is still not "quite right" when it looks for the order type but we can file after the message.
