Good Morning: our HIM Director has asked me to post the following query:

I am eeking clarification on definition of Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
and Electronic Legal Record (ELR) in the Scan/Archive (SCA) module:

Which one is used by caregivers?

Which one is used by HIM staff?

Which one is used to produce copies of the medical record for legal
purposes (attorney request, submission as evidence in court)?

What module is used to view the medical record: PCI or MRI?

Thanks!!

We are CS 5.54 site and

Our caregivers use the EMR
HIM staff use both ELR and EMR to ensure documents are appearing in both modules.
We plan to use the ELR for legal purposes

Health Records use MRI.
