Hello,

We are a C/S 5.67 site, and are in the process of replacing out RXL and XPAND analyzers with two EXLs. We also currently use EasyLink as middleware. There is only one EXL installed currently, and it’s talking to the middleware and Meditech, results print on our auxiliary printer, and the analyzer recognizes most tests on labels printed from MT. It’s almost working 100% correctly. The issue that I’m running into is with the four “new” LoCi methods (TNI, FT4L, NTP, and TSHL) and the EXL not recognizing the barcode when one of these tests is ordered and received out of MT. I get an error of “NO DATA”.

I created a new method in MT for the EXL, which I then added to page 7 of the Test dictionary for all applicable tests. I also added the method to the Analyzer Type dictionary, in addition to the four LoCi methods with the correct names and appropriate upload/download codes provided by Siemens (TNI-2021, FT4L-2004, TSHL-2024, and NTP-1406). We have rules set up in EasyLink that allow a sample type “P” as a prefix to the upload and download codes (instead of “2” for the EXL, as I’ve read elsewhere, although I did try that as well). The methods are enabled in EasyLink, and all tables match entries in MT. I’ve had Siemens take a look more than once in our EasyLink tables to ensure they are appropriately set up, and I’ve looked over the dictionaries countless times.

Has anyone else had any similar issues or have any ideas?
