We use the Lantronix UDS-10 devices for our Lab analyzer interfaces. We
are Magic 5.61 PP10. Some of our devices are starting to fail. We have
had these devices for a few years. Lantronix have discontinued this
particular device. Are there any Meditech hospitals using a different
model Lantronix device for their Lab analyzers besides the USD-10 ?

Thanks in advance!

We are using the Lantronix UDS1100 - I believe it is what Lantronix
recommends for a replacment. Having used both it's not significantly
different.

Have a great day!

We've been using UDS100s and UDS1100s for about three years; no failures
so far.

Saira,
We use MSS100 Lantronix boxes on all instrument interfaces at this time as
well as some printers that don't have network cards, but work on serial
ports and have been for about 2 years. We chose to put each instrument on
a different device, in case of failure, we'd lose only 1 at a time. So far
we haven't had to replace any.

Hope that helps...

We use the UDS-10's with no problems sofar. We have tested and plan to
start using the UDS-1100's when the need requires it. I will send you
our setup doc which has instructions for both the UDS-10 and the
UDS-1100.
