Our core team group at MRHC is meeting this week to discuss the build of TAR. I need suggestions from other meditech
hospitals that have implemented TAR and screen shots of their documentation. We use Meditech Magic version 5.62 . All
help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John Lentz MRHC IT Clinical Analyst RN

John: Attached is my Powerpoint presentation for 5.62. Note the notes I
have written for my outline. I already know that some of the buttons at
the bottom of the TAR have changed in 5.63 and that our process for
documenting hold/restart is out of date in that version and may be out
of date for higher 5.62 releases. The hardest part was knowing what to
set the parameters for vital signs at. We ended up with Q15MX1,Q3HX1.
This alerts at 15 minutes after the begin time and then resets for 3
hours after that when those vital signs are documented. If you "blow the
unit in", say in 30 minutes or so, once you document the final vital
signs, there is no further reminder. Our documentation limits parameter
is set to 25% and 25% respectively and this still works.

Test, test, test! We've had an issue with not all the vital signs
flowing to the blood bank history if a second intervention on the TAR
flowsheet is documented at the same time. Another local hospital had
difficulty with the change time routine not holding the time it was
changed to.

Others wanting a copy of this Powerpoint should contact me directly.
