Hi L-ers,

I’m getting a funky error that I’ve never seen before from NPR. When I go to run a report from BAR.PRORATE I get the error “DISK ERROR: Bad Allocate 160” every time. I was able to run it just a little while ago (earlier today), but now it seems to be upset with me. Normally when I break a report it says “CRASHED” and it gives an error report. This error doesn’t give me any clue as to what’s wrong, and frankly it’s driving me nuts.

Thanks in advance for the help! :)

That happens to me every now and then.  It’s dumb but if you go completely out of Meditech and back in it might work.

This usually happens when we download a report and try to send it to a path/file we don’t have access (usually a typo)

Thank you all for your responses. I wasn’t downloading to a folder I didn’t have access to, and restarting Meditech didn’t work. In the end restarting my machine did the trick. I feel like such a user. :P

Last time that happened to me the file was still being used by a prior process.

Sometimes our computers will disconnect from the specific network drive we are trying to access.  I good tip/trick is to use F9 in the Download Path and verify you can see the directory you are trying to access.

Yep,
The Bad Allocate usually happens if you have the file open in Excel and then downloading to the same file name.
