[MT-L] faxing to a cc'd provider from a Pdoc

Hello,
I am trying to set up for Pdoc’s to automatically fax to CC’d providers that are defined on the physicians report. Does anyone currently do this? If so how do you have it set up? We are Meditech 5.66 CS.

Hi Lyndsey, we do this using the Forward Advantage Communication Director Software (CDS), a faxing solution that fully integrates with Meditech. A SmartRoute reads the header or footer of the pdoc report for matches in the physician directory. Matches receive a faxed copy.

We also use Forward Advantage (FA) to include ‘cc’d providers as John mentioned. Although the ITS Report Dictionary has capability of auto faxing using the Destinations tab FA tracks its fax transmissions in their System Activity Monitor to determine if the fax was successful or not.

We do the same thing with Interbit Data’s product Net Delivery. Unlimited “smart routes”. We send out about 8,000 pages via secure internet delivery and another 12-15,000 faxes.
