We are currently cleaning up our drug dictionary with correct NDC#s so that when we load the AWP we can use PHA to calculate a good price based on markup formula. However, we've got to remove this custom described above so that the price is pulled from PHA instead of BAR. However, when we do that, we will lose our history of price changes by effective date. So, we are planning to script the price changes into BAR to keep BAR in sync with PHA.
QUESTION:
Seeking other Meditech Magic facilities who perhaps have dealt with this same issue - OR - those facility who would be gracious enough to share with us what their configuration is for PHA and BAR. How do you deal with this? How do you maintain a history of price changes by effective date? Or do you? Is it important to?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Have a great day!
Is there anything else I can do for you? I have the time.

Don't forget that to use current PHA charges, you need to set "Chg Editable" for each PHA item in BAR to "Y".
If you are comfortable working with Access, let me know and I'll send you the NPR report formats and the Access file. You could probably do the same thing with a straight
NPR solution, but I personally find it easier to do stuff like this outside of MediTech using better tools.
