I don’t know if you are looking to change specific fields or if you are trying to increase everything. There are 2 size attributes that you can use on fields (SIZE and SIZEV). You can also change some font attributes per line but I do not believe you can change the size of everything with one attribute. The attributes you can use on a line are FF which refers to field fonts and PF which refers to Prompt Font or font you typed onto the NPR picture. This link may help you.

Hi,
I am working with Iatric to send the “Performed By XXX Hospital with the Medical Director’s name” statement from Meditech to appear on eClinical Works reports which is our clinic software. If any of you out there are sending this on your HL7 messages would it be possible to let me know what segment and field you are sending this. I asked for it to be sent in the OBX which is what the other Meditech sites I have talked to are doing but it did not work so now we are trying the NTE segment and still having issues. The Site dictionary is set up correctly in Meditech so that is not the issue. We are Magic but any version’s answer would be welcome.
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Elizabeth

Subject: [MT-L] How to change Font
size
Hi,
=
You can also use numeric values such as SIZE=1.5, SIZEV=1.5, SIZE=2.2, etc.
SIZEV is the Vertical Size. When SIZEV is used with SIZE it helps keep the print in proportion. If you use the MEDITECH defined sizes like SIZE=L or =S they stay in proportion, but if you manually enter a numeric SIZE the SIZEV helps. It is not necessary to use SIZEV, but it sometimes looks better. Try printing something with just SIZE and then add SIZEV to compare the difference. Depending on if you are Magic or C/S, 6.0 and which version SIZE may only take increments of 0.5 (SIZE=1.5, SIZE=2, etc) or it may take increments of 0.1 (SIZE=1.2, SIZE= 1.3, etc).
Also, depending on your printer, you can occasionally set a FONT type for a different look. FONT will accept most of the basic fonts such as FONT=ARIAL or FONT=VERDANA. Sometimes this can be helpful in setting certain text apart from the rest of the document.
Elizabeth,
Our lab information is in NTE1 & NTE2, from Meditech to eCW. When you view the outgoing message, in Meditech, can you see the information? If so you probably need to work with eCW to have them read it in.
We are a Magic site with V9 of eCW, although we have had this functioning for the last 4 years with other versions of eCW.

ECW asked that we add the information to OBR.23, so we have our engine to add it to that segment.
