Hi Everyone
We have upgraded to 5.5 sr1. We are experiencing slowness for short
periods of time. I have seen some discussion on the L before.
Has any one gotten a resolution for this?

Hello L'ers

We have recently upgraded to 5.5 SR3 and we have had numerous problems
with Standard and Custom reports.

Many of our custom reports that we have scheduled to run are printing
with weird graphics and the fonts are all different sizes. Many Meditech
standard reports are also printing the same way. We have opened a task
with Meditech and we have not had a resolution and we have been live
since October 31st.

Has anyone else had these same or similar issues? Thanks for your time.

Hi all,

We are in the process of building and testing the MT to LSS charge
interface capabilities. I am wondering how other facilities handle
modifiers. We currently have the queries built and attached in OE that
departments can use when entering charges. They are defined in the MIS
parameters and flow to BAR.

How are other facilities handling modifiers once you start to use the
LSS system to bill for your professional charges entered into MT? Are
departments responsible for emailing the LSS billers to add the
modifiers on the LSS side? Is there a way to get the queries to flow
with the charge to LSS?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Is the slowness limited to one or two modules or is it across the board?

Halifax in Daytona reported an issue between B/AR and ADM that arose after they'd been on 5.5 for several weeks. I'm watching to see if that happens to us because we went Live almost two weeks ago.

We do have a bug in MOX - when you delete a message, screen corruption appears and the message numbers are out of sequence. Meditech hasn't given us a fix for that yet.

We have had so many DTS's put in that it is ridiculous but we still experience intermittent slowness.  So, good luck.  Just keep on Meditech and report every slowdown.  Keep an eye on your CPU usage for each machine.  We are able to track it back almost every time to 100% cpu usage for a particular machine.  Usually the A machine which holds ADM, MRI, MIS and so on.

Sue,

Here is some "research" that I did quite some time ago in reference to slowness.  While this research is pre-5.5 version, some of the things to check may apply to any release.  Most of this information came from the Meditech L archives. The first page is a "checklist" of sorts, which I've had reports that it has solved some issues for others.  Good luck!!!

Julia,
We had the same problem with our MOX when we went live on 11/14/06. We had to have the following DTS' loaded: MOX 829,831 and MIS 8103. They took care of the problem for us.
I hope they help.

Well we had a Quantum coding slowdown and couldnt figure it out until we lowered the workstation version back to 3.24a from 3.6c which was way too slow. Dont have a clue as to why or if this helps you but it is a thought. Mark Champion

We had a "boat load" of DTSs identified within a week after we went live..
we took the PHA ones immediately.. but are still experiencing slowness
there.. We loaded all the PHA ones and picked at the others since we do not
have POM etc set up in LIVE

We are a Magic site - 5.5 SR2 and have had the same problems on our A machine.
Our Ops Manager has noticed that A machine hits 100% CPU usage.  The main area
to complain are the coders in Abstracting when they are processing an abstract and have
to launch the 3M product.
