Morning all,

Attempting to interface a Sysmex XT4000i to Meditech through a Xyplex termserver. Here's what I have tried so far:

Have an 9 pin adaptor configured as a DTE-5 (using Sysmex specs and interpreting it to Meditech's DTE-5 diagrams)
Both the Xyplex and the Sysmex are set to 900,8,1,Non-parity
Sysmex communication is set to ASTM

Getting info on a watch, but keep getting a "Impossible Inviare Text" error on the Sysmex.

Any solutions?

Also as a side question, has anyone successfully connected using a Lantronix (1100 or 2100)?

Tony,

Can you set a BAUD rate of 900? I thought you could set 300 or 1200 at the low end. Perhaps 1200, 8, 1 and None.

Tom

Hi Tony,

I have a friend from another hospital (not on the L) who is setting up this analyzer. He was having difficulty getting a watch and we determined it was a DCE instrument based on the documentation he received from Sysmex. His setup uses a 9 pin to 25 pin converter which is connected to a 25 pin adapter. The adapter was pinned as a DCE (I can get you the pinout).

Also, he was told by Meditech that when performing the device watch, the analyzer will display that message in Italian that you referred to. However, once the analyzer is connected through an analyzer batch, the message will go away. He has successfully sent a CBC result and the message is no longer there. He is also using a xyplex server and has the 9600, 8, 1, and none settings you noted.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Regards,

Chris

On your side question, we are using a Lantronix box with a 2100. We are C/S 5.64.
