Meditate NYC Kick-Off Event: Sunday, Nov. 9, 2 - 7 PM

The Buddhist community of New York City has joined together to sponsor a full week of free meditation instruction across NYC, November 10 - 16. People from all faiths, backgrounds, and experience are welcome at Open Houses hosted by numerous meditation groups and dharma centers. If you're looking for a group to practice with, or if you want to introduce your friends to meditation, come and sample a dozen traditions!


Meditate NYC begins on Sunday, November 9 with an afternoon of meditation instruction by Buddhist teachers from a great variety of traditions, with periods of movement, poetry and music. The kick-off event is free and open to all.  You are free to come and go as you wish.  Chairs are provided, you may bring a meditation cushion.

Free Meditation Instruction at Open Houses Throughout NYC:  November 10 – 16
