The Medik8s team is thrilled to announce the new releases of Node Healthcheck Operator (NHC) v0.10.0, Self Node Remediation (SNR) v0.11.0, Fence Agents Remediation (FAR) v0.6.0, Machine Deletion Remediation (MDR) v0.5.0, and Node Maintenance Operator (NMO) v0.19.0.
The new Medik8s operators are available upstream for Kubernetes and OKD, and with support on the OpenShift Container Platform (as
Red Hat Workload Availability (RHWA)). See our release notes for the complete list of changes:
NHC v0.10.0,
SNR v0.11.0,
FAR v0.6.0,
MDR v0.5.0, and
NMO v0.19.0.
Notable Changes- SNR is no longer installed automatically with NHC Operator. You need to install a remediation provider according to your requirements. We offer SNR, FAR, and MDR operators.
- FAR supports getting credential values from Kubernetes Secrets, an off action (in addition to the reboot action), and the supported fence agents have been reviewed.
- SNR manager has 2 replicas, improved peer timeout logic, and supports a single-worker-node cluster setup.
- NHC supports maxUnhealthy, as an alternative to minHealthy, to easily express N-1, N-2 scenarios.
