NICU newborn/pumping on Shabbos

I was asked if a mother of very premature twins may use a manual pump
to extract her milk on Shabbos.
The extraction of milk is forbidden on Shabbos as part of the melacha
of mefarek, even if done manually. Normally we allow a woman to use a
breast pump to relieve painful accumulation of milk, with the addition
of a drop of inedible fluid to the container and discarding the milk.
that is whenever it is necessary to relieve the mother's discomfort.
However, here the situation is very different. The premature infants
are choleh sheyesh bo sakana, and need the milk and cannot get it any
other way. If a non-Jew is readily available to turn on an electric
pump it would be preferable, otherwise the mother should turn it on
"kilachar yad."
