Microsoft Power BI – Senior Technical Lead
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Onsite/Hybrid – as per client requirement)
Duration  : 6+ Month 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power BI Senior Technical Lead to guide a high-performing team in building advanced dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, excellent leadership abilities, and hands-on experience designing scalable BI solutions for enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a technical team to deliver end-to-end Power BI solutions aligned with business needs.
• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and complex DAX calculations.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure timely delivery.
• Optimize SQL queries, data models, stored procedures, and support data warehousing activities.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior team members, ensuring best practices across BI development.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Power BI reports, gateways, refresh cycles, and SQL performance.
• Evaluate new Power BI and SQL features to introduce innovative, performance-driven solutions.

Required Skills

• 7–10+ years of experience in Power BI development, data modeling, and DAX.
• Strong expertise in SQL (query tuning, optimization, data modeling).
• Experience leading technical teams or acting as a BI Lead / Tech Lead.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with business users and leadership.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI Service admin).
• Experience in the payments or financial domain—strong plus for Fiserv.
• Knowledge of version control, CI/CD or DevOps for BI deployments.
