Especially to Year 1 Students in the Nerve-Muscle Physiology Block; I am sure you will find these animations helpful for understanding fundamental concepts in this Block.

Animation - Genesis of the Resting Membrane Potential

An Excellent Animation describing the Resting Membrane Potential followed by genesis of a Nerve Impulse (Action Potential - a wave of depolarization that moves across the cell membrane transiently reversing the RMP) - http://tinyurl.com/ooeajs; the animation also depicts the role of Na-K ATPase in restoring the concentration gradients for K and Na.

This animation at http://www.biology4all.com/resources_library/source/63.swf depicts the ion fluxes during the phases of the action potential.

Animation - Action Potential in Neurons

Ion fluxes during the two major phases of an action potential in a nerve fibre
