This is a moderated online discussion forum for fielding and clarifying
medical students' queries in physiology and sharing these discussions.
Anyone with an interest in medical physiology is welcome to join in. I set this forum up while I was teaching in the Faculty of Medicine at AIMST University. While I have retained the original URLs for convenience of use, I am no longer affiliated with AIMST University. Endorsement of views expressed here in by AIMST University Faculty of Medicine should not be inferred.

Some notes for posting messages on this forum:
- The questions on this forum invariably come from students pursuing physiology.
- We advice students to include their name and the course they are
enrolled in so respondents may wish to take this into consideration.
- If there are images on the web that you wish to include, please provide the correct URL so we can link to that.
- In responding to queries, please include references as may be appropriate.
- Posts may be of any length as is appropriate but please keep your post polite and to the point.
Posts may be edited as may be deemed appropriate, especially for
clarity. However, one of the objectives of the forum is to serve a wider
audience of physiology students and educators and anyone (teachers,
students) with an interest in physiology education is welcome to join in
as a member and contribute questions and responses.
I have adapted the policies below from those the British Medical Journal has in place for publishing e-letters
