Newly installed widgets gives error

Just installed widgets, testing it using the youtube example on the main wiki page. I get t:he following error

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Smarty::addPluginsDir() in /home/wiki/extensions/Widgets/WidgetRenderer.php on line 30

Most likely a folders problem, but everything seems to be in the right place.
