A long time user of Mediatransfer (before the name change!) I have had
a lot of problems recently regarding getting a connection to the
machine I use for backup.

That is a Win7 box which acts as a network server for the household. i
run Filezilla on it, and it has been running fine until quite
recently. Now I cannot connect at all!

I'm on iOS 6 and have tried the workaround of deleting/re-installing
and still have the same problem. Once or twice it has transferred a
few photos then stopped - subsequent attempts fail suggesting username/
password problems.

I'm baffled and on the point of giving up which would be a pity 'cos
when it works it's great, but, at the moment it's driving me nuts!

Any ideas? Please?

Chris,

Could be a few things:
Are you using a computer name or an IP address to connect to?
If a computer name, the PC may not be doing a good job of responding to requests.

Any different results with the FireWall turned off?

I've tried with both IP and Name - same result. I've just turned off
the firewall - same result!

Ay other ideas? TIA

This indicates that for some reason Mebia cannot create the required
folders -so, do we have to go onto the FTP server and create a new
directory each time we want to upload? Seems a bit odd to me!
