AUC Update :Medaithread Bookmarklet and upload from my computer is not working

I downloaded the latest April 2015 version of Mediathread for the American University in Cairo but the Bookmarklet does not work after installing it with either Youtube, or Vimeo. Upload from my Computer results in Error: Invalid Authentication Token. So I would appreciate any help with this matter.

Hi Samah,

First, did you try reinstalling a fresh bookmarklet?  The bookmarklet code itself may have changed since your last installation.

Also - can you confirm that your installation is accessible over http _and_ https (ssl)

Hi All,

I am Samah's colleague and we installed the latest version Fall 2015 and we are still facing the same issue though the installation is accessible over https. Can you please advise. 

~one thing to mention is that we are using a load-balancer, I am wondering if other people are having a similar problem with it or not.

On another side note, I was also wondering why am I not receiving any updates from your group?

Sorry for the delayed reply. 


First, I am not sure what you mean when you say "I not receiving any updates from your group?”  Do you mean on this mailing list?  It has been very quiet. Where were you expecting to see updates? 


This https stuff is quite tricky.  For starters, can you please send the url to your instance?  And, if possible, credentials that I can use to access it (you can send those off-list). 


Are these videos hosted in google video, or youtube?  Can you please also include a url to the resource you are having trouble embedding?
