Hi,

Is Kaltura currently supported by the bookmarklet? I saw a post from a couple of years ago mentioning that you had to modify some files to make it work, but am not sure if the same modifications still need to be made now or if there is something else to be done. When I just tried to bring a video in from Kaltura, the collect interface didn't load properly on the first attempt, and then on the second attempt it appeared to work but the player doesn't load back in Mediathread's collection view. The only immediate thing that I can see going wrong is Mediathread is trying to load http://mediathread.ccnmtl.columbia.edu/crossdomain.xml on playback and getting a 404.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,

- John

Hi John -

We did an MIT-specific Kaltura implementation a few years back. I'm sure the whole thing would need to be revisited with a specific use case in mind to ensure it meets modern standards. Tell us more about what you need to do for support?

Well, it would be a test right now as Kaltura is one platform that Dartmouth is investigating for serving its media files, potentially including films for MEP. If it would require significant work then we can pass on trying it with Mediathread for now, I just thought there might be a quick fix. No problem.

Thanks,

- John
