Hi...

I'm installing an updated version of Mediathread and see that it now uses browser extensions for collecting artifacts (at least, it seems to prefer the extensions over the bookmarklet, though the bookmarklet still seems to be there). When I try to collect an artifact with the extensions I get a message asking me to log into Columbia's instance of Mediathread -- so it seems like the extensions are specific to Columbia. I'm wondering:

-is there some configuration setting that would allow me to specify that the extensions should work with our local Mediathread installation?

or

-is there some way to hide the extensions and instead have Mediathread present the bookmarklet for installation in the browser?

Thanks--

Hi,

I have the same problem after having installed mediathread some days ago from scratch on my server - any ideas ? I do not want to go back to the old installation dated back to 2014.

Thanks

The Mediathread Chrome extension allows you to specify which
Mediathread instance it points to. Right-click on the extension icon
and click "options" to get to these settings.

This can also be done in your Mediathread instance: Open the extension
download area in the "Import into Collection" dropdown, and click on
"Update extension settings".

Hi not sure if this discussion is still live, but I'm having some troubles with the extension, specifically when trying to collect from YouTube. I get the message "Choose item(s) to collect" but page is sort of greyed out and nothing is clickable. I specified the extension settings as suggested above and that did not help. Thanks for any insight!
