Reverse discrimination in communal violence bill: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party has denounced the draft communal violence bill saying it will intrude into domain of states, make only Hindus culpable and create discord in inter-community relations. In an article released on Thursday, Rajya Sabha Opposition leader Arun Jaitley argued that if the ostensible object of the bill was to prevent and punish communal violence, the effect would be contrary. The proposed law is fraught with dangerous cansequences and is bound to be misused and will encourage minority communalism.  It assumes  that communal trouble was created only by members of the majority community alone.

Pakistan rejects Indias list of 50 most wanted - Cites mistakes in the list as the reason

The Pakistani interior ministry has rejected the list of 50 Most Wanted men forwarded by India to Islamabad, saying it should first probe if those named in the list were living in that country. India had handed over the list to Islamabad during the home secretary-level talks between the two countries in March. Two men on the list were found to be in India – one out on bail in Thane and the other in a Mumbai jail.

Terrorists attack on main military base PNS Mehran - 6killed 2 aircrafts destroyed

Heavily armed terrorists attacked a prominent naval base of Pakistan and inflicted major damages to the aircrafts and to the security personnel.  The navy is not the only Pakistani institution whose personnel were found to be involved in terrorism. A former Army male nurse-turned-jihadi playe d a key role in the 2009 General Headquarters (GHQ) attack, just like senior Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officers, including one SSG commando who was found to be involved in the attack on the then army chief Pervez Musharraf in 2004.

Reactiotn to Medha Patkar fast raises doubt about Anna Hazare - Was it an episode of Astroturfing?

Fasting by Medha Patkar or proposed fast by Baba Ramdev is not making news.  Looking back, the Anna Hazare phenomenon appears to be a stage managed PR trick called astroturfing.
