Security concerns are no longer limited to a particular geography.  The frequency and the extent at which security is being breached are alarming. Innocent civilians have been killed Mali, Beirut, Paris, Syria, Iraq, Iran, India and China. State players across the world are realizing need for a co-operative approach to find a solution towards this problem.  International media has a significant influence in shaping policies of nation states and opinions of general public and thus has a role to play in establishing a better world. But, so far, International media has unjustly contributed to consolidation of globalized world order and destruction of pluralist cultures.  International media has followed a double standard in reporting and projecting affairs of different societies. There is a need for correction in the professional attitudes of the International media.  Emerging security scenario providing a right context for initiating this correction is of high priority.  In this context, On Saturday, November 21, 2015, media.syndicate issued following statement.

International Media is required to adopt steadfastly a broad consistent approach in covering issues related to people, cultures and governments across the globe.  The media should discontinue publishing anything that distracts individuals from their lifestyle and blurs distinctiveness of communities in a selective manner. The media can continue to support their respective national governments, but it should start playing its role of establishing lasting peace across state boundaries.  From immediate effect, the media should openly commit for publishing undistorted facts, unbiased opinions, and to universal values as basis of a broad common editorial policy.  Specifically, International media should stop disgracing of India and Hinduism and other non-Semitic societies.  The media should also realize the worthlessness of supporting short term, objective less media campaigns directed against identity related symbols against the wishes of those who own them.
