Your MediaServer:
I'm having the same problem a couple of other posts have mentioned re only only song playing at a time and not continuing throught the playlist or Now Playing list. Have tried all the variations and long presses you mentioned but no go. All the songs are in the playlist but have to select next when one finishes. Out of interest the "repeat" doesn't work for single song either. I've noticed also that the song played stays in the playlist when try to "remove all" saying that it is "in play" even after the song has finished. Thought that might help you track. Using Samsung Galaxy S2.

This is happening on the free version so not sure if this is limitation but don't want to buy if this is an ongoing problem so can you please advise?  Thank you and great product in every other way!

Hi,

Although highly unlikely but I'll have this tested again in development. Just to be clear, I am assuming that
- You are on version 1.3.0
- You see songs lined up in "Now Playing Queue", Not the playlist but the screen that swivels between Now Playing and Now Playing Queue.
- You are currently playing a song that has more songs showing below it in the "Now Playing Queue".

In any case with next version we'll put a play indicator against the song that is playing on the "Now playing Queue" screen too.

Hi and thanks,

All that is correct. Upon further investigation I found that the queue plays consecutively as it should when pushing to the Windows Media Player on the PC but only one at a time as mentioned when playing to a Yamaha RX-V671 which is the main unit I want to play music to.

Thanks,

Hi,

Ok, now it makes sense. So the behavior is only reproducible in "Remote Play" scenario and that too with Yamaha RX-V671. This is a little tough nut to crack frankly, since some of the DLNA players do not respond well with how far along they are in the song that was pushed to them causing MH to loose sync with them and not pushing the next song..

Do you see the progress bar in NowPlaying screen reach till the end, with Yamaha?

I am also having the same issue.
I purchased the pro version today, departing from another media player (Buble UPNP) because I had compatibility issues when I changed phone from Galaxy S2 to S3. I use the S3 to control my media library that is running on a Synology DS211J (NAS server DLNA complatible). I use the S3 to read from the NAS via a wi-fi connection and render the data to a media player (Popcorn - Popbox V8) which is connected to my Yamaha RSV663 (and thereon to a power amplifier and so on...).

Everything with the software works fine, but I experience poor functionality compared to the one offered by Buble UpNP for example, where I could pick a song in a folder and the player would play all the rest down the line automatically. With mediahouse I can only do this via a playlist, which I am too bored to create each time.
Is there a solution around this?

Thanks

Thanks for your support and giving us a try.

"where I could pick a song in a folder and the player would play all the rest down the line automatically. With mediahouse I can only do this via a playlist, which I am too bored to create each time."

You should NOT need a "Play list" to play songs one after the other. You actually need the "Now Playing Queue (Q)". "Play Lists" are only needed if you want to pick songs from v arious folders and club them together and more importantly want application to remember your selections and make it available to you on every application run.

"Now Playing Queue" is more of a single application run concept suggesting what is currently in queue to be played. There are short cuts provided to fill your "Now Playing Queue". For e.g. While browsing you can pick the complete folder rather than a song from that folder and choose the option called "Search Audio and Play". This will navigate recursively into the NAS and populate a "Now Playing Queue" with songs under that folder tree and start playing the first song.

"Random Play" is another option that can be chosen on any folder to pick randomly 100 songs from that folder tree and fill your "Now Playing Queue".

Hi Diwakar,
I am trying to stream music with my tablet and your Mediahouse App from my NAS server to my Sony Bravia KDL-40HX -  TV via DLNA.
It plays always the first title only. Then the app stopps. The second title in the current play list is not transmitted and not shown in the player. Moreover I do not see a progress bar.

Can you help in any way? It would be a pitty, if I couldn't use the App.

Kind regards
DuDi
