Studio connections?

Does anyone have any connections at the smaller studios in town, like Raleigh? I know they hosted the LA Family Film Festival and do other events. I wonder if someone like that would be willing to provide an empty sound stage for the event. It would be a bit more rustic, but might be a good venue for the subject matter.
