problems with using blader-general questions

I have been fooling around with blader. Interesting.
1. streams captured in blader do not fast-forward or rewind or allow
you to go to X position, unless you put the audio file into audacity
and re-encode it as an m4a. Some loss in quality :(
2. In capturing with blader you have to continuously stop and restart
the job task because blader will download really fast for about 1:30
then drop to 0 kbps. To get more of the completed stream, you have to
stop and restart it -- and sometimes it will trunticate the end a 59
minute program will say 100% at 50 minutes. Is there a better way?
